Stunners Galleria is a retail fashion business. I was the only engineer on it, which meant owning both the system the team used every day and the storefront customers saw.

Nothing agreed with anything else. Stock sat in spreadsheets, orders came in and got tracked in messaging apps, and pricing decisions were being made with no view of what was actually selling. Whatever replaced it had to be something a non technical team could run on their own, with nobody on call to fix it, which ruled out anything clever.

The business came off spreadsheets and messaging app order tracking and onto the new system, and kept running it on their own after I handed it over.
